It is in New York City where Mario Forte, established since 2016, hears about Ernst Reijseger for the first time, by the musicians of John Zorn with whom the Franco-Italian violinist began many collaborations, in his debut on the East-Cost music scene. Ernst Reijseger has already recorded dozens of albums with this avant-garde community over the past 30 years. Mario Forte and Ernst Reijseger explore many musical aesthetics. From jazz revisited to baroque music, passing by avant-garde, americana and minimalist music, classical and contemporary music, not to mention totally unclassifiable forms, these insatiable musicians touch everything in search of the absolute, however. Never seen their vision of music, the approach of the human soul, a need for universality and spirituality which leads them to be inspired by sacred music to develop their language. Their many common elements lead them to form this duo which is already outlining a territory of universality.
